Another hard to find French song, this time a terrific flapper-style number, '24/36' was released as a single in 1968. Check the links to compilations in previous posts, as it appears on a couple of those.

As requested, the rare 1970 Brazilian (with French lyrics) groove 'Zozoï'. I mentioned you can buy this on the compilations Sexopolis and French Cuts Vol 2 (check Ebay - I know there's a copy of Sexopolis on there at the moment), and there was also a reissue on 7" (A-side of a split release) by Jazzman Records. This track was originally released by a Brazilian singer named Celia (with Portuguese lyrics).

Thank you so much for uploading Zozoi, defiintely one of the most groovy track of France Gall. It sounds great! I'd keep an eye on ebay for those two compilations. (what's even greater is getting another lead to look for Brazillian version :D )

Hi everybody ! I didn't know that there is also a Brazilian version of that song and I don't know the singer Celia either. Talking about cover versions: I have a record with a Spanish beat group, called Los Macovals, who sing the Spanish version of "La pioggia", "La lluvia", which was originally sung by France Gall. This version is more "beat-like" and I prefer the France Gall version more, of course, but interesting it is, nevertheless. This cover version was released on Fonal records, catalogue number: MJ-9 Maybe I should try to put it on CD or cassette and send it to you, Christine, so that you can hear it and possibly post it here for others to hear it. Today I bought a rare record on eBay: The GERMAN version of "La pioggia", called "Der Regen", sung by a female singer called "Pompilia", so you see that this song was very popular and was sung in many different languages and covered by numerous other groups and singers. Maybe I should prepare a cassette for you that contains cover versions of France Gall songs ? There are a lot, actually... :-)
    "Gallically" yours: Gerry

No problem, Freda. The Celia version will be even harder to find; seems it is ultra rare.
Gerry, as you may know, there's also a cover by French singer Dalida of the French version of 'La Pioggia', 'L'orage'. I haven't heard it yet. Will email you re: other stuff. I have loads of cover versions already and am being wary not to venture into overkill.

France Gall doing samba? Nice! 'Zozoï' is a winner!

    some questions...
(Pic credit: Unsung – The Book Of Seth) Does anyone know the lyrics to my favourite song 'Vie Ta Vie Mon Gars' by Les Gamines (posted here early on). Happy to post it again if you don't have it and think you can help. It's not so ...
