Baby Birkin
Baby Birkin - Dents De Lait, Dents De Loup

Top cover of the fabulous theme song Serge Gainsbourg and France Gall recorded for the one-off TV show of the same name.

Baby Birkin were a side project for members from Thee Headcoatees and Mambo Taxi, performing 60s French covers. Russell Senior produced their work after leaving Pulp. Not sure if this 1997 track was produced by him, but I think this whole album (Classée X) was.

Have to extend my gratitude. The Sleepy Township song is simply excellent! I like this group a lot, but had no knowledge of this song (I don't buy vinyl since I have no turntable). Baby Birkin is also nice, but "Singing doll" just makes my day! :) I recommend the Family Way compilation that was released this year, if you don't already have it.

No problem at all. It really is brilliant, isn't it? Maybe I should have put it up earlier, before I over-Poupee'd everyone. Well, this one is staying up, people, until more of you hear it... it's just so good.
